Prep softball: Meadowdale 5, Monroe 1

MONROE — Monroe (1-2 overall) finished the Tuesday game with 10 hits, but could only muster one run against Meadowdale (3-1). Monroe’s Alyssa Egan hit 2-for-3 with two singles, Lexie Trombley went 2-for-4 with two singles, Rachel Delamare added a double, Nicole Reyling hit 2-for-2 with an RBI and Britney Hedin finished 2-for-3. Meadowdale scored one run in the first, one in the third and three in the seventh off an RBI single and a two-run double. Devan Larsen (0-1) pitched the first three innings for Monroe and finished with four strikeouts. Egan struck out five in relief.
