Boeing adds order for eight 777 jets

The Boeing Co. added an order for eight 777 jets to its backlog this week.

The company attributed the order to an unidentified customer on its orders and deliveries web page, which Boeing updated Thursday.

The new order brings Boeing’s net order total to 117 through May 10. Boeing has won orders for 56 of its Everett-built 777s this year.
