Free concert for kids
A free concert is planned for little folks, 5 and younger, in Lake Stevens.
Children’s performer Eric Ode offers “You and Me and ABC,” simple songs, games and movement at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Stevens High School Performing Arts Center, 2908 113th
Ave. NE in Lake Stevens.

Every child at the concert gets a free book bag, book, CD and bookmark.
Girl Scouts collect scrap metal: Girl Scout Troop 40043 is holding a scrap metal drive Saturday.
Drop off scrap metal from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lamoureux Real Estate, 1904 Wetmore Ave., Everett.
Here’s what will be accepted: copper, brass, auto radiators, aluminum, steel, electric motors, trash compactors, water heaters, washers, dryers, lawn mowers, metal yard tools, barbecue grills, engines, mufflers, used electric gear, transmissions, transformers, balers, refrigerators or freezers. All oils and gas should be removed.

The first 400 pre-registered vehicles will do a controlled cruise on Colby Avenue in Everett from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration includes two tickets for the Sunday dance at the Holiday Inn on 3150 Pine St. from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The dance will feature Mike Wright & the Blue Sharks.
