Third Boeing 747-8 freighter finishes flight testing

Boeing’s third 747-8 freighter is finished with flight testing.

During flight testing, the third freighter was flown in extreme conditions like freezing cold in Canada and 90 miles per hour winds in Iceland, Boeing said on Thursday.

The third 747-8 freighter has been flown to San Antonio, Texas, where it will be refurbished prior to delivery.

Boeing plans to deliver the first 747-8 freighter mid-year after gaining certification from the FAA for the updated jumbo jet.
