The Boeing Co. could miss its mid-year delivery date for its new 747-8, according to a report out Monday.
Two analysts warned investors on Friday of a possible schedule slide, reports Bloomberg News.
Cai Von Rumohr with a Cowen & Co. and Joseph Nadol with JP Morgan Chase both see a delay in the 747-8’s future. Von Rumohr suggested the delay could be six to eight weeks.
Earlier this month, Boeing announced it was holding the 747s in the Everett factory in place for a month in order to catch up on unfinished work on the jumbo jets.
Boeing likely will be asked about its 747 program during its investor conference. Presentations from key Boeing executives will be Webcast tomorrow morning.
