Arlington: Town clock dedication

The Downtown Arlington Business Association has donated a town clock to the city and has installed it on Olympic Avenue near City Hall.

The group’s clock dedication ceremony is set for 11 a.m. Sept. 10.

Lake Stevens: Apply for service funds

Human service organizations that help Lake Stevens residents can apply for city funds.

The city’s 2011 budget includes $15,000 to help nonprofit organizations that meet certain funding criteria. Applications are available at Lake Stevens City Hall, 1812 Main Street. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Sept. 30 and should be submitted to: City of Lake Stevens, Attn: City Clerk, P.O. Box 257, Lake Stevens, WA 98258.

Marysville: Leaf artwork for kids

The Plant Farm at Smokey Point Kids’ Club is planning leaf impression artwork for kids Saturday.

In addition to creating art from leaves, kids also will have the chance to learn about different types of leaves from an instructor. The class starts at 11 a.m. and costs $5 per child.
