COUPEVILLE — Kaila Green broke a 49-minute stalemate one touching the ball past keeper Grace LaPointe on a cross from Winter Wirkkala. Wirkkala also had an insurance goal in the 72nd minute of the Cascade Conference game with an assist from Corteney Loesche. Granite Falls (4-2 league, 5-3 overall) mostly controlled the game , but a good defensive performance from Coupeville (0-6, 1-6) kept the board clear into the second half said Granite Falls coach Cory Elwell. Keeper Courtney Young had the shutout.
