Fire causes $25,000 in damage to Lake Stevens-area home

LAKE STEVENS — A garage fire caused about $25,000 in damage Tuesday afternoon to a home in the Lake Stevens area.
The fire was reported just before 2:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Russell Road, east of Lake Stevens, officials said. Much of the damage was from smoke.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries were reported. Crews from Lake Stevens and Getchell responded to the fire.
