Man arrested after driving into Lake Stevens pasture, harassing horses, threatening deputies

LAKE STEVENS — A Lake Stevens man, 24, was arrested Thursday morning after he reportedly drove into a horse pasture and threatened deputies.

Just after 6:45 a.m., someone called 911 to report the man’s car in a pasture, disturbing horses, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. The pasture is near the 13000 block of 44th Street NE in the Lake Stevens area.

The man was inside his sport utility vehicle when deputies arrived, Hover said. He reportedly threatened to hurt them and refused to get out of his car. The special weapons and tactics team was called out, but the man surrendered about 8:30 a.m. No further information was available.
