Culinary celebrities including Carla Hall to visit Taste of Tulalip

Tulalip Resort Casino’s Taste of Tulalip is set for Nov. 11 and 12, with executive chef Perry Mascitti and sommelier Tommy Thompson, who have prepared the lineup of food and wine.
Joining the two hosts will be ABC television host Carla Hall, author
and wine consultant Leslie Sbrocco and libation expert Kathy Casey.
Hall’s best known as a competitor on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and the owner of Alchemy, an artisan cookie company. She co-hosts a new ABC series, “The Chew,” with Mario Batali and Michael Symon.
Leslie Sbrocco is host of the award-winning PBS series, “Check, Please!” She is a judge on PBS’s “The Winemakers” and a regular guest on NBC’s “Today” Show.
Casey, a Northwest fixture, is known for her creative dishes and savvy libations. She is a newspaper columnist and author of nine books. Casey is frequently a guest on Northwest and national television.
Taste of Tulalip begins with an evening reception and dinner Nov. 11. Dinner, with wine pairings for each course, is priced at $150. Sbrocco will be emcee.
The highlight Nov. 12 is the Grand Taste, featuring lavish food stations and more than 100 wines from Washington, California and Italy. Cost for the four-hour event is $65 and includes a cooking challenge done “Iron Chef” style with celebrity judges.
“All Access” pass holders ($195) will have early entrance to the Grand Taste, a VIP seminar featuring a cooking demonstration and table talk with Carla Hall, and Kathy Casey’s private Magnum Party with a session of high-level wine and food pairing.
