Cooper says Realtors are trying to buy the Edmonds mayor’s election

Edmonds Mayor Mike Cooper says that the spending of $26,720 by Realtors groups to support his election challenger is an attempt to buy the election.
“The Realtors are dumping tens of thousands of dollars into this campaign because they know they have a friend in Republican Dave Earling,” Cooper said Friday. “He has voted to increase building heights in the past. These special interests are trying to buy the mayors office to increase heights and damage Edmonds’ small-town charm.”
