Passenger dies in head-on collision of two pickups on Tulalip reservation

TULALIP — A man died Friday afternoon after a head-on collision on the Tulalip Indian Reservation.

The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 10400 block of 27th Avenue NE, officials said.

An older Ford pickup and a newer Dodge pickup collided.

The driver of the Dodge truck, 16, was taken to a local hospital. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office bureau chief Kevin Prentiss said.

His passenger, 50, died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford truck, 57, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, Prentiss said.

No information was available Friday about a possible cause of the collision, Prentiss said.

The identity of the man will be made by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
