Concept is beyond most drivers here

Traffic circles. That’s what they are called here in The United States, not roundabouts. The letter writer was 100 percent correct on Tuesday, let’s stop trying to be European. (“Traffic ‘solution’ makes it worse.”)
Most Washington state drivers can’t figure out how to correctly merge with traffic on a highway, and don’t get me started on the four-way-stop standoffs I have been in here. How can anyone expect them to figure out a traffic circle? Maybe Darwin will figure it out for them. I have lived in several states and have driven on two other continents, this is by far the most “right-of-way challenged” bunch of people I have ever had the displeasure of driving around.
