SEATTLE — A developer plans to begin construction next month on a 40-story apartment tower in downtown Seattle near the Paramount Theater.

The 440-foot-tall building will have 386 units and 269 parking stalls.

Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reported that it’s one of six projects under way or planned in the urban core by Holland Development for a total of more than 1,400 units. The company expects strong job growth in the next two years in downtown Seattle, thanks in large part to Amazon.com.
