CLYDE HILL — Former Mariner John Olerud has won a victory in a battle over the view from his home in the Seattle suburb of Clyde Hill.

The city’s Board of Adjustment ruled Wednesday night that Olerud’s neighbor must remove two trees because they unreasonably block his view of Lake Washington.

The Seattle Times reported that it was the first time the city has told a resident to cut down a tree since a 1991 view ordinance was passed.
