Spending grows every year

Regarding the letter, “Yearly increases mean no cuts”: Not only is there no cut in spending in any year over the next 10 years, spending grows and is expected to far outstrip revenue each and every year, and projected to reach $6T or more annually in 2023. I think it doubtful that revenue will ever again top $1.7 trillion annually (in 2012 dollars). Not one dime of spending has been “cut.” It should be obvious to anyone not brain dead that this is what Congress wants … otherwise they would stop it.

This will only cut 2.4 percent of the entire budget, and keep in mind that the spending increases every year. The media is spinning faster than the liberal politicians. They make it sound like doomsday, but it is only a pimple. The Republicans have already passed a couple of bills in the House to replace the sequester, but the Democratically controlled Senate refuses to even vote on them. Looks to me it is the Democrats who refuse to compromise.
