Lake Stevens to take comment on shoreline plan

LAKE STEVENS — The public can comment on proposed changes to the city of Lake Stevens’ shoreline master program at a meeting planned next week.

The City Council is set to host the public hearing at 7 p.m. April 8 at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Facility, 12309 122nd Street NE.

People who have questions or would like to submit written comments can call 425-377-3235 or email city Planning Director Rebecca Ableman at bableman@lakestevenswa.gov.

The city began updating its shoreline master program in 2009 with money from the state Department of Ecology. The city, the state and community partners have been working on appropriate changes to the plan. The next deadline in the project is April 30.
