Otto Smith coached the team, whose members were Wally Leto, Gary Lukens, Larry Showland, Paul Taylor, Dale Ford, Sandy Ingersole, George Coleman, Rich Cook, Gary Strom, John Olerud, Kirk Chapman, Floyd Persson, Gordy Prentice, Bob Fry and Jim Langus.

Dr. Hal Kloes, principal of the new Meadowdale High School, and junior Sharon Still met about school amid boxes and packing crates. The $2 million school was expected to be in full operation by this time next week.

Tomorrow was the grand opening of Lanus Riverfront Park. The public was invited to attend opening festivities at Everett’s newest park, located south of Dagmar’s Landing located on 96 acres of upland and tideland along the Snohomish River.
