Mukilteo Elementary School cancels after power outage

MUKILTEO — An electrical equipment failure caused classes to be canceled at Mukilteo Elementary School on Friday.

Snohomish County Public Utility District crews were working on the problem, but it was expected to take several hours to fix, a spokesman said.

Most of the school was without power.

Because classes were canceled at only one school, the missed time will not be made up later in the year, according to the school district.

The problem was reported about 3:30 a.m.
