Egyptian bazaar: St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church of Lynnwood holds its 25th annual Egyptian Indoor Festival, 12-8 p.m. Oct. 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. The Middle Eastern-style bazaar features Egyptian food, pastries, papyrus art, pharonic jewelry, souvenirs, statues, Coptic Christian art, icons, literature and more. Free admission.
Open house: An open house followed by a dedication and installation of new leaders for the Salvation Army Marysville outpost will be held at Oct. 18. Earth care: An “Interfaith Dialogue: Caring for the Earth” event is set for 3-4:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 4312 84th St. NE, Marysville. A Buddhist, a Muslim and a Christian give their perspectives on caring for the Earth, the second in a three-part series. Installation: The Rev. Carmen TenEyck-McDowell will be formally installed as minister of Evergreen Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Marysville during a special service at 7 p.m. Oct. 19. Socktoberfest: The annual Socktoberfest celebration is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 26 at Trinity Lutheran College, 2802 Wetmore Ave., Everett. Local residents and members of the homeless community are invited to gather to enjoy live music, bratwurst, locally brewed root beer, door prizes and more. Socks will be distributed to all in need that evening, as well as gently used shoes. Showers also will be available. Bazaar: Immaculate Conception Church in Arlington holds its Autumn Bazaar, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 31-Nov. 1. The church is at 1200 E. Fifth St. Household goods, baked goods, hand crafts, tools, fishing gear, garden items and Bargain Boutique. Lunch available. Proceeds benefit a variety of church causes, including area food banks, a back-to-school backpack program, and a Kenyan student’s tuition, among others.
