UW Bothell announces record enrollment

BOTHELL – The University of Washington Bothell announced its largest enrollment ever, continuing a trend of growth despite downward enrollment at colleges and universities nationwide.

The university reported 4,588 full-time equivalent students for fall 2014-15. That’s up from 4,216 the previous year or an additional of 372 students for a 9 percent increase.

UW Bothell is the largest of the five university branch campuses.

Here are some other notes about UW Bothell’s enrollment:

  • 90 percent of the students enrolled are from Washington;
  • 51 percent of the incoming first-year students are first generation college students and a third of those are from Snohomish County;
  • 35 percent of the total students are from Snohomish County and 55 percent are from King County;
  • The top feeder high schools include Henry M. Jackson, Bothell, Mountlake Terrace and Kamiak high schools.
  • 747 students are transfers with the top feeder institutions including Edmonds Community College, Everett Community College, Bellevue College, Cascadia College and North Seattle College.
