When flags are hoisted in the morning, they should be raised briskly to the top, then slowly lowered to half staff. At noon, briskly raise flags to the top. For flags that fly 24/7, slowly lower flags to half staff at dawn. At noon, raise them briskly to the top.
Crosswalk talk: The Lynnwood City Council plans to discuss crosswalks at a work session Wednesday night. Public works crews will respond to a council request for a new crosswalk at 64th Avenue W and 194th Street SW. No vote will take place. The work session starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
