Woman rescued after falling from horse near Getchell

GETCHELL — A woman who sustained injuries while horseback riding Monday afternoon was located, treated and packed out by personnel from several agencies.
The woman, whose age was not available, had been riding along a trail near a Getchell-area power line. She called 911 when she fell around 12:30 p.m.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office as well as Volunteer Search and Rescue, Getchell Fire District, Lake Stevens Fire District and Granite Falls Fire District were involved in the response.
She was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett around 2 p.m.
