Walk for health
Volunteers are needed to lead group walks in Lynnwood as part of a new health initiative. The walks are organized by the city and the Verdant Health Commission
A workshop is planned starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at 4710 196th Street SW.
For more information, email wellnesscenter@verdanthealth.org or call 425-582-8600.
Picket set: Corrections officers plan to picket outside the prison in Monroe from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday.
“Our main concern is the budget and getting our contract funded while preserving our collective bargaining rights,” according to a news release by the Teamsters Local 117.
Looking for history at home: The Herald is looking to interview people about their home archiving projects — efforts to preserve and restore items of personal significance, family history and local history. Examples would include old photos and wedding dresses, and anyone who has sought technical help from a library or genealogical society for their project. For more information, contact rking@heraldnet.com or 425-339-3449.
