Clinics to close
The Snohomish Health District will permanently close immunization clinics in Everett and Lynnwood on June 30. The clinics are at 3020 Rucker Ave. in Everett and 6101 200th St. SW in Lynnwood.
The public health agency made the change as a cost-cutting move, saying that immunizations are widely available at medical clinics and pharmacies. The health district will continue to provide HIV testing and STD referrals, communicable disease surveillance and monitoring, and tuberculosis treatment.
Republican rally on Camano Island: All area Republicans are invited to an annual potluck picnic and rally from noon to 3 p.m. June 23 at Camano Country Club Beach 2, 1243 Beach Drive, Camano Island.
State Rep. Dave Hayes will speak on the effects of Initiative 594 and gun safety.
Hot dogs, pulled-pork sandwiches, cake, ice cream and drinks are to be provided by the Camano Island Women’s Republican Club. All ages are welcome. Bring a potluck dish. For more information, call 360-387-5886 or 360-629-0399.
Ebey Slough Bridge work: The right lane in either direction of Highway 529 at the Ebey Slough Bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday for inspection and maintenance, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. The southbound right lane will be closed first, then the northbound right lane will be closed. Only one lane will be closed at a time.
