Worker dies after fall at Lake Stevens Target

LAKE STEVENS — The state Department of Labor and Industries is investigating a workplace death that occurred Sunday at the Lake Stevens Target.

Marjorie M. Reed, 58, of Snohomish suffered fatal head injuries after falling from a ladder, officials said. It happened while she was stocking shelves about 5:15 a.m.

Her death was ruled an accident, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. No information was made public about the death for several days.

State investigations of workplace fatalities can take up to six months before a report is issued.
