EVERETT — A squirrel got into an electrical substation in south Everett Saturday morning and knocked out power to about 5,000 customers in the Twin Creeks and nearby neighborhoods.
Snohomish Public Utility District spokesman Neil Neroutsos said the power went out about 7 a.m. and was restored an hour later.
Most of the customers affected lived between Paine Field and the Everett Mall, Neroutsos said.
