EDMONDS — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in a home-invasion robbery that happened near downtown on Monday afternoon.
Anyone who was in the area of Pine Street and Eighth Avenue S. between 1:30 and 2:40 p.m. is asked to call detectives at 425-771-0212.
A trio of men burst into a couple’s home after knocking on the door, Edmonds police Sgt. Shane Hawley said. They ordered the woman, who is in her 80s, and the man, in his 90s, to sit while the home was ransacked. The victims were shaken up, but unhurt.
It’s unclear if anything was stolen.
“No arrests have been made in this case and it is still under investigation,” Hawley said Tuesday.
The first suspect is described as white, about 5-foot-10 and 220 pounds. The second, also white, was described as 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds. The third man was described as Hispanic, about 5-foot 7 and a similar weight as the others, but having a large belly. No weapon was seen.
No additional information was released Tuesday.
