Music at Lake Tye

The Monroe Chamber of Commerce has announced the lineup for this summer’s free concert series at Lake Tye.

The country, blues and rock concerts are held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays in July and Thursdays in August.

The lineup for July includes Jessica Lynne and the Cousins, the Black Vinyl Allstars, The Senate and Crème Tangerine.

In August, File Gumbo, Chance Mckinney, Heart By Heart, and the Nate Church Band are scheduled to play.

Fire levy meetings planned: The North County Regional Fire Authority plans two public meetings in advance of a fall ballot measure for the emergency medical services levy.

The fire authority plans to ask voters in November to renew the current EMS levy rate of 50 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value.

The meetings are to be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday and July 8 at Fire Station 99, 8117 267th Street NW, Stanwood.
