Skykomish motorcycle fatality identified as Kent woman

INDEX — Officials have identified a motorcyclist who died in a crash near Skykomish on Aug. 1.

The victim was Tatyana Maria Moisant, 45, of Kent, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. The crash was reported about 1 p.m. by a witness who saw Moisant’s motorcycle in the Beckler River.

Police found the scene off of Beckler Road, about 7 miles north of U.S. 2. Investigators believe she failed to negotiate a turn and her motorcycle went off the road and into the river.

Moisant suffered blunt-force trauma and drowned, officials said Friday. Her death was ruled an accident.
