Jam: Pianos back on Everett streets
Join the fun along the sidewalks of downtown Everett with “Street Tunes: An Invitation to Jam,” through Aug. 25. Passersby are invited to play any of the 19 pianos that have been decorated by local artists.

Sip: Enjoy happy hour on the airfield
Take in beautiful views of the Paine Field Airport and Mount Rainier this summer with beverages and food during Summer Nights on the Strato Deck, 4-8 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 28 at the Future of Flight Aviation Center, 8415 Paine Field Blvd., Mukilteo.
The event is open to the public, all ages.

Latch: Festival focuses on breastfeeding
La Leche League of Everett holds “Live, Love, Latch,” a free event to celebrate breastfeeding and provide support, 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 22 at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett.
Everyone is invited to attend and sign a declaration of support.
A “Latch On” is set for 11 a.m. There also will be hula hooping lessons, breastfeeding photography and giveaways.

Serve: Tennis tourney benefits Kamiak
The Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival tennis tournament is set for Aug. 28-30 with an entry deadline of Aug. 24. Proceeds benefit Kamiak High School tennis teams.
Events are divided into divisions based on experience. Doubles and mixed doubles, too. Competitors will be assigned a play date. Play occurs rain or shine.
Entry fees range from $20 to $30.

Shoot: Hunter education jam at camp
Prospective hunters who have completed Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife online hunter education coursework can fulfill their field skills requirements at a “Hunter Education Jamboree,” 8 a.m.-noon or 1-5 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Boy Scout Camp Pigott, 24225 Woods Creek Road, Snohomish.
Online registration for the event is required. The registration deadline is Aug. 21.

Volunteer: Advocate for kids
There are 1,300 abused and neglected children in foster care throughout Snohomish County. The Volunteer Guardian ad Litem program of Snohomish County seeks adults, age 21 years and older, to serve as advocates for more than 400 of these children who are still waiting for help.
Qualified individuals from all walks of life, cultures, backgrounds and ethnicities are encouraged to submit an application and begin the interviewing process for the next training scheduled for Sept. 19, 26, and 30.
