1 killed, 1 hurt in early morning crash near Bothell

BOTHELL — One man was killed and another seriously injured after a one-car crash early Monday near Bothell.

The ages of those involved was not known as of mid-morning, said Shari Ireton with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Both men were in the same car, according to a news release. The survivor was taken to the hospital.

The crash was reported about 4 a.m. in the 18500 block of 51st Avenue SE. A tree had to be removed from the scene, but it wasn’t immediately clear if it had fallen into the road or if it was struck by the car, Ireton said.

Road closures were expected to last several hours.
