Kitchen fire damages Lakewood home

LAKEWOOD — A kitchen fire at a home in the Lakewood area Wednesday caused about $93,000 in damage.

The fire started accidentally because of unattended cooking, Marysville Fire Marshal Tom Maloney said. It was reported at 10:25 a.m. at a house in the 2900 block of 178th Place NE.

Everyone in the house got out safely. The American Red Cross was assisting the family.

Crews also responded from Arlington, Silvana and Stanwood.
