ConcertoHealth names new Washington president
ConcertoHealth, formerly Fidelis SeniorCare, has announced the appointment of Stacey Zierath as its Washington market president. With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare ambulatory operations, Zierath will head ConcertoHealth initiatives throughout the state of Washington, including the opening of two new care centers. One of those centers is located in Lynnwood.
Classes aim to help people learn to live with kidney disease
Puget Sound Kidney Centers is offering several classes to kidney patients and their friends and family. The free six-part early evening classes include cooking demonstrations and discuss how to slow kidney disease, treatment options and nutrition and exercise tips. Arlington to get assist with its urban forestry
The city of Arlington has been awarded the opportunity to participate in the Urban Forestry Restoration Project from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. A Puget SoundCorps team will work with city staff through the month of February to remove Himalayan blackberry and night shade from local stream riparian buffer areas and to trim trees in parks and streets.

Applicants are being sought to fill a vacancy on the City of Snohomish Economic Development Committee. Edmonds Sound &Sea successfully recovers Navy array
Sound &Sea Technology Inc. of Edmonds has completed the successful recovery, upgrade and redeployment of an undersea acoustic array which is part of a system the Navy uses for subsea acoustic measurements. The array is moored near Andros Island, Bahamas, has a tracking and communication system and seafloor cable system for power and telemetry.
Revenue: State collects smaller share of personal income
Washington collects less in state and local taxes as a share of total personal income than 34 other states, according to new data released by the Washington State Department of Revenue. In fiscal year 2013, Washington collected $94.31 in state and local taxes per $1,000 of personal income — well below the nationwide average of $104.68 per $1,000 of personal income.
