The chocolate eggs are gone, but this one’s a keeper.
It’s not edible. It’s incredible. And it’s in the White House.
Lynda Matson, a Marysville egg artist, created a commemorative egg for Michelle Obama. Matson designed the egg to reflect the idea that all children deserve an education to achieve their dreams, themes reflected in the First Lady’s Reach Higher initiative. The egg, which incorporates Swarovski crystals and glitter, has little flowers that represent a child who blossoms as she reads and grows in life.
Matson is director of the Washington Decorated Egg Show, slated for July 9 and 10 at the Everett Holiday Inn.
