Collectibles of all sorts are set to be sold at the Vintage Fair.
Old and new and just plain funky stuff will be available at the fair.

EVERETT — Taylor Johnston isn’t quite sure what she and her friends will do if 3,000 people actually show up for their Downtown Everett Vintage Fair on Sunday.

That many people registered interest in the fair via Facebook, which has been Johnston’s only marketing tool.

The group’s first Vintage Fair is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at 1420 Hewitt Ave., otherwise known as Basecamp, home of Everett Music Initiative and Everett Makers Market. Parking is free across the street at the Everpark Garage.

The small indoor fair will feature 12 vendors displaying a variety of vintage stuff, including styles such as Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, French Provincial and just plain funky. Furniture, lamps, purses, jewelry, clothing, housewares and kitschy trinkets are among the items fair-goers will find.

“We will see how this first one goes,” Johnston said. “Eventually we might have to move to a bigger location.”

The dozen women involved in the show know each other through antique store businesses, and all offer something different, she said.

“I think the draw is that vintage stuff appeals to all generations,” Johnston said. “And having it in downtown Everett is just fun.”
