Everett Community College Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning Peg Balachowski has received a grant from the IDEA Foundation to test a way to provide faculty with weekly feedback. She was awarded $8,734 to pilot test an online model that would anonymously collect information from students about their instructor’s teaching and progress toward achieving the expected learning outcomes for the class.

Workforce Snohomish to hold Conversation about Retail event

Coastal Community Bank, partners to host Monroe Business Symposium

Rotten-egg smelling brochure not a mistake

A natural gas safety brochure is being sent to more than 1.1 million Puget Sound Energy customers throughout September. It includes a scratch-and-sniff section that’s a reminder of the rotten egg odor associated with natural gas. Rates up, occupancy down for Snohomish County hotels in July

Snohomish County hotels were down over 2015 percentages in occupancy, flat for revenue per available room and up in average daily rate, according to the Smith Travel Research report for July 2016. Snohomish County’s year-to-date positioning as compared to other counties places it fifth place in occupancy and average daily rate and fourth place in revenue per available room.
