Seattle’s viaduct and 520 bridge closed this weekend

SEATTLE — Motorists around Seattle could find added travel headaches this weekend as both the Alaskan Way Viaduct and the State Route 520 floating bridge will be closed.

Seattlepi.com reported the viaduct which runs through downtown Seattle will be closed for a semiannual inspection through Sunday.

The state Department of Transportation is also closing the 520 bridge through the weekend to install tolling equipment and perform maintenance work.
