LAKE STEVENS — An Everett man was sentenced to a year in prison for an assault on a Lake Stevens teenager earlier this year.
Alexander Lamoureux, 20, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree assault. He was accused of striking a 17-year-old with his vehicle and stabbing the boy during an April 29 altercation.
His co-defendant, a 17-year-old Everett girl, also was initially charged as an adult. She was accused of stabbing the 17-year-old. She claimed the boy punched her in the face during the melee.
Her case was moved to juvenile court when prosecutors reduced the charge to second-degree assault. The girl pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 days in juvenile detention and a year on probation.
She was ordered to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation and continue mental health counseling.
