Alzheimer’s meeting

The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting a town hall event in Everett to provide information on the state’s plan to address Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia types. The event is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m Wednesday at the Carol Gipson Senior Center, 3025 Lombard Ave.

Education town hall: The Marysville School District is inviting the public to a Tuesday evening discussion with local legislators on how to adequately fund education in Washington state.

The gathering begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Pilchuck High School Auditorium, 5611 108th St. NE. RSVPs encouraged but not required. To do so, write Emily_Wicks@msd25.org or call 360-965-0007.

Flu shots for Lake Stevens: Lake Stevens High School is hosting a flu shot clinic with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Children between 4 and 17 years old may be eligible for a free shot if they do not have current health insurance. The nurse association also accepts insurance to cover the cost of the vaccine. The fee for adults without insurance is $30.

Bring insurance information and, for children under 18, a patient consent form signed by a parent or guardian to the high school at 2908 113th Ave NE.
