Everett-based Perteet has announced the launch of its new logo and brand identity. This is the first major rebrand in the company’s 28-year history. The new logo and brand was designed and developed by Seattle’s Hansen Belyea. The new tagline is Better Communities, By Design. Perteet is an award-winning engineering consulting firm.

Marysville names Hotel/Motel Committee

The Marysville City Council confirmed appointments on Oct. 10 to Marysville’s 2016-2017 Hotel/Motel Committee. Those include: Jennifer Caveny, Holiday Inn Express; Mark Jensen, Maryfest, Inc.; Mary Kirkland, Downtown Merchants Association; and Charles Lee, Village Motor Inn. Council president Kamille Norton was previously named to serve as committee chairperson representing the city.

New VP at Bothell’s Alder BioPharmaceuticals

Bothell’s Alder BioPharmaceuticals has announced the promotion of Larry Benedict to executive vice president and principal accounting officer. Benedict, who has served as senior vice president of finance since 2013, will continue to oversee the company’s financial operations and planning. Prior to joining Alder, Benedict served in various finance positions with Seattle Genetics.

Aspiring Leaders Toastmasters plans event in Mukilteo

A special meeting of the Aspiring Leaders Toastmasters is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 29 at the Mukilteo YMCA Club Room, 10601 47th Place W., Mukilteo. There will be a holiday theme with prepared speeches, an opportunity for extemporaneous speaking, warm and supportive evaluations, and light refreshments. Wear a costume, bring a friend, and investigate the possibilities.
