Man dies after canoe overturns near Arlington; 2 rescued

ARLINGTON — A man died Saturday after a canoe carrying three people overturned on King Lake near Arlington Heights.

The mishap occurred in the 16600 block of 155th Avenue NE. Rescuers pulled two women from the water, but could not locate a man who had been in the canoe. The women were taken to a hospital.

Divers recovered the man’s body Saturday night, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was in his 50s. One woman is in her 50s and the other is in her 20s.

The women’s conditions and any further details were not immediately available.
