Pool closed on Thanksgiving: The Recreation Pavilion in Mountlake Terrace will be closed on Thanksgiving. It will reopen Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It also will be open Saturday and Sunday with modified hours. More info: 425-776-9173 or the city’s website at www.cityofmlt.com
Tour Lake Stevens schools: A tour of two Lake Stevens schools while they are in session is planned for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. People can join Amy Beth Cook, Lake Stevens superintendent, to see a typical school day at Skyline Elementary and Cavelero Mid High.
Guests should meet at 12309 22nd St. NE at 9 a.m. for breakfast and to catch a bus. To participate, RSVP to Tiffini Schlosser at 425-335-1668 or tiffini_schlosser@lkstevens.wednet.edu.
Tapas and Topics: The League of Women Voters of Snohomish County will host an informal gathering at Arnie’s Restaurant on the Edmonds Waterfront, to network, discuss current issues and learn about the activities of the league. The event is set for 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday. Tapas will be provided and attendees may order their own beverages. Topics will include health care, money in politics, sustainable agriculture in Snohomish County, and other concerns that may come up in the discussion.
