What are your tips and tricks for the car?

Nearly a year ago we turned to our Street Smarts readers for tips and tricks to de-ice a windshield.

Your feedback was sadly lacking. That’s on me. We do live in the relatively mild Pacific Northwest, after all.

But I have faith that you will write a column for me yet. (My New Year’s resolution apparently is to work less.)

This time, I’m going with a pickup truck bed worth of topics. Nah, make that a dump truck hopper’s worth.

What are your tips and tricks for — or even related to — your vehicle?

A way to help your windshield shed our frequent rain? A better way to collect toddler cracker crumbs? Tricks for parking in your garage ding- and dent-free? Alternative cup holders? Key management?

If you’ve dreamed it — and done it — then I want to hear about it.

Your tips and tricks must be legit (something you actually do, not just something you Googled or pinned to your Pinterest board). They should be, you know, legal. And they should be local — the focus here is on Snohomish County drivers.

Send your tip or trick along with your first and last name, hometown, and any relevant photos (if useful) to streetsmarts@heraldnet.com.
