1 killed in semi-sedan collision near Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS — One person was killed in a crash Thursday afternoon along Highway 92 near Lake Stevens.

Additional details about the person who died were not available as of 5:30 p.m.

Initial reports were that a second person was hurt, but that had not been confirmed, said trooper Heather Axtman with the Washington State Patrol.

Officials believe a semi-truck and a sedan collided about 3:30 p.m. near the intersection with 44th Street NE, just outside of city limits.

Lanes were closed in the area for several hours.
