Everett homicide victim identified, investigation continues

EVERETT — A man who was shot and killed along W. Casino Road on Sunday has been identified as Bradley M. Doherty, 24, of Everett.

Doherty was shot in the abdomen, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled a homicide.

The shooting occurred about 5:15 p.m. at the Shiloh Village apartments. Everett police continue to investigate. No arrests had been made as of Tuesday.

Doherty attended Mukilteo district schools throughout his life, including Mariner and Aces high schools, officials said.

He was scheduled to go to trial in March. He was charged in mid January with DUI and being a felon in possession of a firearm. After his arrest, he told a nurse he had been using heroin since he was 14 but had been clean for months before that day. He had been ordered to enter drug treatment in 2015 after a burglary conviction.

Doherty posted $5,000 bond in the DUI case and was released from jail Jan. 28.
