Providence General Children’s Association Guild 8 volunteers plan to sell See’s candy Monday and Tuesday at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett’s campuses to support children’s health care programs. Look for Valentine’s displays in the lobby at the Pacific campus (916 Pacific Ave.) 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday and near the gift shop at the Colby campus (1700 13th St.) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Tax prep help: Edmonds Community College and United Way offer free income tax return preparation and e-filing to U.S. citizens and residents on a drop-in basis, from 5 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 2 to 5:30 p.m. Fridays, through April 18, in Mountlake Terrace Hall 206 on the campus of Edmonds Community College, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. City committee seat: The city of Snohomish’s economic development committee seeks a new member. Former member Jason Sanders recently was appointed to a vacant seat on the Snohomish City Council. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Feb. 23 at City Hall, 116 Union Ave. The volunteer position is open to those who live, work or own property in the city or belong to a city civic group.
