Haggen to help fund classroom projects

From Wednesday through the end of the month, Haggen customers can support classrooms through DonorsChoose.org at the check stand. Customers can purchase a paper apple for $1, $5, $10, or an amount they designate.

The store has pledged to match those customer donations up to $20,000. Since November 2015, Haggen has donated more than $130,000 to 373 projects at 166 schools impacting 31,971 students through the nonprofit.
