The Everett Mountaineers hold an annual Potluck and Gear Grab, featuring Craig Romano, 6:30-9 p.m. March 1 in the basement of Everett United Church of Christ, 2624 Rockefeller Ave. Romano will share his latest book, a second edition of “Day Hiking Olympic Peninsula.” People are asked to bring unwanted outdoor gear to sell, buy or trade. Those with last names beginning with the letters A through L are asked bring a main dish, M through S a side dish or salad, and T through Z a dessert.

Sip and doodle for a tuba: The Mill Creek Lions Club holds a fundraiser at 4 p.m. March 4 at Sip Dip-n-Doodle in Mill Creek. Participants can enjoy wine and painting, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Lions. The club is raising money to purchase a new concert tuba for the Jackson High School music program. Tickets are $40 and reservations are due March 1; attendees must be 21 or older. Tickets are available at sipdipndoodle.com.
Marysville Strawberry Festival Royalty Pageant:
The annual Strawberry Festival pageant is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at Marysville Pilchuck High School. Tickets are $5, available at the door. Winners receive scholarships.
