Woman killed in south Everett car crash is identified

EVERETT — A woman who died in a crash along Hardeson Road in south Everett on Friday has been identified as Athena Pishue, 37, of Seattle.

Her name was released Tuesday by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. Police believe she was a passenger in a Nissan Altima driven by Brandon R. Brown, 30. The Nissan struck a rock wall, reportedly at speeds of up to 80 mph.

Brown was charged Tuesday in Everett District Court with vehicular homicide and hit-and-run fatality. He remains in the Snohomish County Jail.
